M. Alain Fauconnier attire l’attention de Mme la ministre des affaires sociales et de la santé sur la maladie de Lyme ou borréliose de Lyme. Cette maladie, essentiellement transmise par les tiques, pose à l’heure actuelle des problèmes de prévention, de diagnostic et de traitement. En 2010, 900 000 personnes en Allemagne ont été traitées tandis qu’en France seuls 5 000 cas ont été officiellement recensés. Par conséquent, il lui demande de bien vouloir lui indiquer les mesures que le Gouvernement entend prendre afin d’assurer une meilleure information de la population et des professionnels de santé.

La borréliose de Lyme est une malade identifiée depuis 1975 et fait l’objet depuis plusieurs années d’une surveillance chez l’homme comme chez l’animal (les chiens et les tiques) afin de mieux définir son importance quantitative, sa localisation précise et ses facteurs de risque. Cette surveillance a permis de mettre en évidence l’expansion géographique progressive de l’aire de transmission en France. Cette maladie peut être contractée sur tout le territoire (à l’exception de la haute montagne et du littoral méditerranéen, milieux peu favorables à la survie des tiques vectrices). Il existe des zones géographiques où l’incidence est localement beaucoup plus élevée, par exemple en Alsace (200 cas pour 100 000 habitants par an), en Corrèze, ou dans la Meuse. L’institut de veille sanitaire a été saisi pour fournir des données sur l’incidence de cette maladie au sein des différents États membres de l’Union européenne. Concernant les actions d’information nécessaires à la prévention de cette infection, le Haut Conseil de la santé publique (HCSP) a récemment publié une mise à jour des recommandations en matière de prévention et d’information du public par la diffusion de brochures détaillant les conduites à tenir pour éviter d’être mordu par des tiques ainsi que le modus operandi pour s’en débarrasser une fois que l’on a été mordu, sans majorer le risque infectieux. La symptomatologie, le diagnostic et le traitement de la maladie de Lyme sont bien documentés en cas de morsure récente et de symptômes nets et objectifs. Une conférence de consensus de la société de pathologie infectieuse de langue française en a précisé les points principaux en 2006, et ses recommandations sont accessibles par tout médecin. Les actions de formation continue, notamment impulsées localement par les unions régionales des médecins libéraux (URML), sont naturellement adaptées aux spécificités régionales de la pathologie rencontrée. En cas de morsure ancienne et devant des symptômes non spécifiques, les attitudes diagnostiques et thérapeutiques ainsi que les aspects nosologiques méritent d’être reprécisés. Ainsi, la ministre des affaires sociales et de la santé a récemment saisi le Haut Conseil de la santé publique (HCSP) pour qu’il mette à jour, sur des éléments scientifiques et des preuves, des recommandations applicables aux méthodes diagnostiques de cette maladie. Par ailleurs, le Centre national d’expertise sur les vecteurs (CNEV) vient d’être chargé de faire des propositions sur la pertinence de mesures spécifiques de lutte anti vectorielle contre cette maladie.
